Cards for a Craft Show

I was invited to participate in a craft show down in Venice this summer so I created some blank Florida themed cards (seeming as I was going to be selling to an older crowd I figured I'd have the most luck with them). I made 8 different cards, scanned them in, and then had Sir Speedy print out 10 of each. My boyfriend came up with a cute bumble bee logo I put on the back of the card.

My booth was in between the booth with the hot-glued shell collages and the plywood dog cutouts. Needless to say, my biggest buyers were my grandmother and my mom's coworker. I guess it could be expected seeming as it's not season yet, but I think I'm allowed to be a bit disappointed.

Anyways, I did 4 flower themed and 4 ocean themed. Here they are :)

 Water Lilly

 Orange Blossoms

Daisies

An Orchid

Turtles

Shells

Flamingos

Sea Horse (for my Mom)

Fun at the Beach

I went with some friends to Siesta beach a few weeks ago and ended up taking some photos of them. I love taking photos on the beach, it's the perfect backdrop and the lighting is pretty much perfect all day long. I went to Siesta again to check out some nice spots; a friend wants me to take shots of her and her fiance and I'm so excited! Also on the same roll was a couple shots of the family (of course).

Chicago

My big summer vacation splurge was a trip to Chicago! I went up to visit some friends and fell in love with the city. I'd move there in a heart beat if I wasn't in school. I'd like to move there after I graduate. Anyways the city is gorgeous and the architecture is amazing so here's the photos I took while I was up there...

New Lomograph

I ordered a new film camera from Amazon.com called a "Lomograph" a few months ago. It has 4 lenses so it technically takes 4 pictures, but it puts them all together in the same frame. Also each lens goes off at a different time so it captures movement really well.

Anyways, these are a few shots that I liked...

Trading Cards

For my Sequential Design Class our last project was about dreams, which pretty much allowed us to do anything we wanted. We just had to use photos we had taken. So I took photos, printed them and cut parts of them out, and then hung them from the ceiling with string.

The last day of class we had to take that project and turn it into trading items to share with the rest of the class, keeping the dream like essence in mind. These are those trading cards.

Hope you like them :)
